Psychology Research Unit has conducted teaching to B.Stat students, training to research interns, conducted workshops and published research papers besides usual guidance to the Ph.D. scholars and conference attendance for paper presentations.

Dr. Debdulal Dutta Roy has received “Anita Memorial Innovative Scientist Award” from the International conference of the Indian Academy of Health Psychology organized by Gautam Buddha University, Greater Noida on December 22-24, 2022 for presentation of research paper titled ‘ Quantum Consciousness in Psychotherapy’.

Applications are invited by the Psychology Research Unit of the Indian Statistical Institute for One month Research internship on following topics:
1. Determining Job satisfaction of school psychology counsellors - Data collection and analysis A. Duration : One month (20th July to 20th August, 2022) B. Mode : Both offline and online (zoom /Google meet ) C. Eligibility: Post-graduate in Psychology/ Applied Psychology/Education/ Social work / Management/Forensic Psychology/Environmental studies with First class, good knowledge about statistical software like R or SPSS, good writing ability for journal publication. D. How do you apply?: Send Application by 18th July with bio-data and valid documents (Mark sheets, relevant certificates etc.) to the Head, Psychology Research Unit, Indian Statistical Institute, 203, B.T. Road, Kolkata-700108 to psy@isical.ac.in. Please mention your specific preferred research topics. E. E-Certificate: It will be provided after submission of dissertation in hard and soft copy. F. Personality and Pro-environmental attitude - Data collection- Internship includes examining correlations of personality factors and Pro-environmental attitude. Interns will collect data through NEO-FFI and given or available questionnaire. 3.Uses of Psychological instruments in forensic psychology- literature review: Intern will submit literatures on various uses of Psychological instruments in forensic psychology following the format. 4. ANOVA on Reading and Writing motivation- Data collection and analysis. Interns will collect data following sampling plan. Interns will analyze and submit report. |
